Experience at Eat & Sleep was very welcoming and cultural. My family enjoyed the Jivarito and the rice with spicy sour chicken dish. I had a Jivarito my self and man let me tell you!!! We also got some empanadas - Mac & Cheese, Pizza, Chicken & Cheese and a Chicken, wow!! Words can’t even explain how good this all was. This couple is blessed to be cooking and they make a very good team together. Definitely going back for more in the menu Thank you
Fantastic food. Cuban sandwich was unreal. Their sauces are unbelievable. The sweet and spicy is great the hot sauce is the best I have had and their hottest which is some form of mango is like nothing I've had before just great! The empanadas are killer. My favorite is the chicken and cheese but all were great.
We moved from Brooklyn NY a few years ago and it was really hard to find a good Spanish restaurant until tonight when this one popped up on Google. From the time we walked in we were greeted with smiles and the owners are extremely friendly. They made sure we felt welcomed to be there. The food is absolutely delicious. It's cooked to the perfect consistency with just the right amount of spices/seasoning. There wasn't anything that we ordered and didn't like. You can tell they put their hearts into cooking their food. Not to mention the menu has such a variety of options for everyone. We can't wait to go back and try other dishes!
So happy to have discovered this gem in Johnstown! True authentic Puerto Rican food made hands on by super friendly owners and family. A full assortment of delicious home style dishes, both sweet and savory! Had to go home with some coconut rice pudding and sofrito for my own cooki g! Left stuffed with good sized portions. Our suggestion is to order multiple items and share to experience all the goodness! Absolutely wonderful!
Authentic Latin America Food!! Delicious and amazing prices!! I love their chicken empanadas and my husband loves their Cuban sandwiches. So happy they now have yucca fries and with a delicious home made dipping sauce. The potato balls are also a must have Their tres leches is to die for! Be sure to pick one up!
Me and my family drove 30 minutes to try El Jibarito sandwich, waited about 20 minutes for the order and it was all worth it!! It was absolutely delicious. We are definitely coming back again. The owners are so nice and friendly it felt like we knew them our whole life. If you order ahead you wont have to wait as much but you may miss enjoying a short chat with the owners! May God bless them and prosper them.
Had a great lunch today! Service was fantastic, food was delicious! Met a really nice couple to chat with while our food was being freshly made. We’ll be back for sure! Had empanadas, sweet plantains, and rice pudding. If you haven’t tried Eat & Sleep, you need to go!
Had the Cuban sandwich & it was the best that I've had for years. It probably would have been even better with the pickle, but I'm not allowed pickles I will definitely get the sandwich again. 100% satisfied
